What Is New Farmer U?

New Farmer U is a weekend for farmers who are a few years (2-6yrs) into their farming journey and are looking for support in creating a successful, viable farm business, and building community in the process. 

With lots of farmer-to-farmer learning, workshops, and time set aside for sharing meals, good conversation, and campfires, you won’t want to miss it!

Who hosts NFU? 

The short answer- PIFF and Marblesed are co-hosts!

New Farmer U is a Marbleseed program that they host with regional partners in true collaborative style - they help provide support and outreach, and they leave the organizing to us. Marbleseed has asked PIFF to set the agenda to match what beginning farmers in Indiana need.

 Expect lots of farmer-to-farmer time, zero talking heads, and lots of small group breakouts.

How much does it cost?

Estimated tickets for the whole event will be:

Without lodging: $50*

With 1-night hotel lodging: $80*

There will be 10 full scholarships. Please check back in August for applications and full ticket information.
